WMN Goes Behind the Scenes in a Local Campaign
WMN-er Mara Leventhal will give us the inside scoop about her experience with local politics. This Fall as the nation had its eyes on the historic presidential election – Mara was hard at work on a heated local campaign supporting a woman candidate.
She’ll share her insights into the importance of local races, give us the real scoop on issues that women in politics have to deal with and give us the low down on what she learned about women and politics from influential local politicans and from a coordinator at Emily’s List, an organization supporting pro-choice Democratic women running for office.
Did you volunteer, work a polling station, door knock? Share your own experiences and perspectives on civic engagement & women in politics…..

PARKING:
You can park inside the building (email Sophie Brion to RSVP and get Mikele’s Apt # first!). If there are no more spots inside the building Mikele has parking passes for Zone 1, so you can park on the street.

Join Farmer Cliff from Three Sisters Organic Farm & WMN to learn about organic community gardening and plant some trees!
We will meet up at 9 am on Saturday get our garden on and then enjoy a picnic lunch – you can stay and help out with the garden after lunch too!
